Dorothy Angelina Doyle

Dorothy was born in West Baltimore, the oldest of 8 children.  She was born of Cherokee Indian heritage, for which she was very proud.  You often heard Dorothy speaking about her heritage and how she wished to have learned more about her ancestry.  Marrying Willam M. Doyle, in 1951, they had four wonderful children:  Bill, Bruce, Karen and Brian.  They were married for 51 years.  Dorothy valued her family, friends, education and the Catholic religion for which she converted to when her sons began attending parochial school.  Dorothy’s mission in life was to make certain her children were well educated in the Catholic faith.  She and our father worked tirelessly to make sure the children could attend Catholic school.  During their retirement years, they moved to Ocean Pines, MD where they retired with all of the families that we grew up with in the Beechfield community.  Our mother is now rejoined with our father and dear brother Bruce and all of our loving departed.

Dorothy is survived by her children, William M. Doyle, Jr. (Mary Alice), Brian Doyle, Karen Doyle (Steven Nawrozki); a daughter-in-law, Phyllis; her grandchildren, Glenn, Angie, Bruce, Stephen, Alyssa, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Justin and great grandchildren, Kelsey, Hunter, Mason, Nathan and Connor.
