Patricia Blair

Patricia "Pat" Blair was born in Baltimore on March 17, 1944. She passed peacefully on January 9, 2025. This amazing woman was a second grade school teacher in Baltimore City. She transitioned to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her twin boys. When her sons were grown, she started a new career as a part-time receptionist, then advanced to become Vice President of Surety for the third largest insurance broker in the world. When that company relocated out of state, she went back to school and became a nationally-certified pharmacy technician. Her thirst for learning new skills always fueled her motivation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Downs, Gertrude (Milstein) Downs and her late sister, Sister Marguerite Downs.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Blair, as well as her loving children, Dave Blair (Laura), Scott Blair (Maha) and her dear siblings, Jim Downs (Susan) and Judy Dubick (Howard). Pat was also an adoring grandmother to 5 cherished grandchildren: Nicole, Natalie, Adam, Dylan and Julianna. Her loss will be felt by many other caring family and friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Pat’s birthday, March 17, 2025 at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Eldersburg, Maryland. Please wear something green! A lunch reception will follow. Please RSVP to Scott Blair at ravenblair@icloud.com if you plan to attend reception.
