Alice Orlando

Alice (Bertela) Orlando concluded a youthful 101 years peacefully on Tuesday morning. Born to immigrant parents in Greenwich Village, NY, and the youngest of five girls, Alice is the matriarch of a family beginning with 9 children; Sally Uraro, Joe Orlando (deceased), Nancy Bazata, Tony Orlando, Jack Orlando, Ted Orlando, Peter Orlando, John Orlando, Alice Bowman. She has 34 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great granddaughter.  She made each one feel as though they were her favorite.

After raising her family for 50 years in Brentwood, LI, NY, she spent time in CA, FL and MD.

Alice leaves a legacy of family, love, strength and laughter. Having never met a stranger, she greeted everyone with a smile and they took away a precious moment.
