It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne E. McNulty of Catonsville, MD who died unexpectedly, but peacefully, at home in her sleep on the evening of Friday March 14, 2025.
She is survived by her sister Jane Goetzke and her only son Leonard McNulty, as well as her daughter-in-law Morna, her two grandchildren Conor and Molly, and her nephew John Goetzke and his partner Win Britt.
Anne was born June 11, 1952, in Scranton, PA to Eugene and Jane (Loughney) McNulty.
Anne dedicated her life to the medical profession, serving as a nurse and nurse anesthetist in Scranton, PA, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, MD. Most recently she retired from Johns Hopkins Hospital. She obtained her RN degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, graduated magna cum laude from LaSalle University, and later received her nurse anesthetist degree (CRNA) from Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden, N.J. She also did medical volunteer work in the Caribbean.
Anne was regarded highly by her medical colleagues and beloved by her many friends and family. Anne was a world traveler with a passion for hiking, kayaking, and biking. Some of her favorite destinations included Patagonia, Australia, and Fiji. She loved her family, animals, nature and being of service to others.
Friends and family may gather on Friday March 21st at Candlelight Funeral Home, Catonsville from 2-4 pm or 6-8pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Candlelight Funeral Home Saturday, March 22nd at 2pm (open to all), followed by a gathering at the McNulty household. She will be laid to rest in the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton PA next to her father and mother.
Flowers may be sent to Candlelight Funeral home 1835 Frederick Rd before Friday the 20th.
In lieu of donations the family requests that everyone be patient and tolerant with one another, and kind to animals and to the environment.
