Arthur G. Feeney, Jr., was born on February 26, 1940 to Arthur G. Feeney and Marie Feeney (nee von Paris) in East Chicago, Indiana. He died peacefully at The Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE in the presence of his immediate family on June 14, 2017 after battling bile duct cancer.
Art spent his early years living in Woodlawn, Maryland. He attended St. Agnes Elementary School and Mt. St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He enlisted in the Army in 1959, followed by service in the Army Reserves until 1964. Art worked in his family owned and operated 125 year old Company, von Paris Moving & Storage, Inc. for fifty plus years, rising to the level of President of various von Paris Moving & Storage entities, as well as Chairman of The Board of von Paris Enterprises, Inc. At the time of his retirement in 2005, Art moved to Millsboro, DE with his wife Edith C. Feeney. They have been married for 43 years. He is also survived by his Children, Margaret M. “Peggy” Feeney, Arthur G. “Butch” Feeney, III and his wife Vikie, Robert B. Feeney and one Stepson, Ronald P. Meyer, Jr. and his wife Shelby. Art was the dear grandfather of Arthur G. “Beau” Feeney, IV, Robert B. “Robby” Feeney, II, Richard L “Rick” Feeney, Scott Feeney, Danielle Cunningham, Ronald P. Meyer, III, Cameron Dennett and Cade Meyer. Art leaves behind his loving and dedicated sisters Colette Sandusky and Kathy Miller as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Art’s interests included golfing, biking, WWII history and reading the Baltimore Sun newspaper every day. Art was a selfless gentlemen who loved his family and country.
