Bonnie Sue Letitia

Bonnie Sue Letitia, 55, of Columbia MD passed away suddenly on February 16, 2020 from a type 1 diabetes related incident. She was predeceased by her biological father, Brian Webster and his parents, Velma and Robert Webster, her maternal Grandparents:  Harold and Anna Mahan, her Uncle Warren Webster, her Aunt Carol (Mahon) Verde.

Bonnie is survived by her father, John M Letitia and mother, Patricia A (Mahan-Letitia) Leone; her sister Christine R (Letitia) Lee (husband Matthew Lee); she was a loving aunt to Haley McKinney, Tyler and Caitlyn Lee; first cousin Joe Verde who is the only child of her beloved Aunt Carol Emma (Mahan) Verde; her Uncle Wayne Webster of Florida; her half-brother Adam Webster.

Bonnie was born in Washington D.C. on December 3, 1964. Aside from a brief move to Seattle, WA and a few years in Virginia Beach, VA she grew up in Columbia MD. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1982.

After graduation, she attended Howard Community College while working at Clyde’s restaurant in Columbia, and worked at Subaru headquarters prior to getting married in 1992. She moved to Charlottesville, VA (and continued with college courses in early childhood education), and then Kennesaw, GA where she lived until returning to Columbia, MD in 2015.

In her early life, Bonnie enjoyed dance (jazz and tap) and skiing and horseback riding. She lived near Lake Elkhorn in Columbia after high school and enjoyed walking around the lake. That place was always dear to her. She loved the beach, especially Virginia Beach, but any beach would do!  She enjoyed the warmer temperatures in Atlanta, staying there many years after her 1997 divorce. She was very passionate about taking care of animals, especially strays and had many pet dogs and cats throughout her lifetime.

Bonnie was a thinker. She loved to spend hours talking to her family and closest friends about anything and everything. She had many friends and was well liked by anyone that met her. She had friendships that lasted a lifetime and made new friends too along her life journey, always living life on her own terms until the end.
