On December 8th, 2019, Brittany Lynn Stevens, 20, was received into the arms of Jesus.  She is the beloved daughter of Jennifer and Kevin Stevens; sister of Brady and Brooke; granddaughter of Judy and Kurt Wolfe and Patty and John Stevens; niece of Tom and Jan Wolfe, Pat and Krista Stevens, and Scott and Vicki Stevens; cousin of Zach, Allie, Abbie, Chloe, Chelse, Chayne, Cassie, Dylan, and Hope.

Brittany was born in Catonsville on March 31, 1999. Brittany always lived life to the fullest and marched to the beat of her own drum. She was passionate. She was caring. She was vibrant and full of laughter. She put others before herself and her love and kindness were evident in how many lives she touched in her twenty years of life. She was a trend-setter; she had an amazing way of persuading others to join her sometimes outlandish ideas. She had a remarkable ability to empathize with anything and anyone.

Brittany’s creativity and curiosity for life led her to try many different hobbies. Some of the most memorable to her loved ones were mountain-biking, photography, and carpentry. She enjoyed running and spending time with her family, and most recently training and loving her dog, Remi. She always had a purpose for what she did, and she did it with her whole heart and mind.

One of her many passions was sports, including lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, and swimming. She also took part in some musical productions and Irish dancing. She graduated from Catonsville High School in 2017. While she played lots of sports, she particularly loved lacrosse, playing Catonsville Rec lacrosse, M&D Club lacrosse, Catonsville High Varsity Lacrosse all four years, and division one lacrosse at La Salle University.

Her love for adventure led her many places in the world. She had a heart for service; she was involved in Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, Georgia and participated in overseas trips to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Kenya. While at La Salle University she was a double major in Social Work and Spanish which led her to participate in many related extra-curricular activities and organizations.

Brittany’s beauty and light shone bright and extended far into the lives of everyone she touched. Her light will continue to shine through these lives that will remember her so lovingly. To remember her light, please wear yellow or other bright colors to her Celebration of Life on Saturday. Additionally, if you have pictures of favorite memories with Brittany, please bring them with you to celebrate the many smiles and connections made during her life.

Ultimately, Brittany’s favorite thing to do was to make people laugh. She would constantly ask her family “What made you laugh today?” To honor Brittany’s love for laughter, take a minute each day and ask yourself “What made you laugh today?”
