Carl Louis Harp Jr., 86, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away, Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home.

Carl was born November 24, 1929 in Stillwater, Wisconsin to Carl and Nelle (Dorn) Harp. He graduated from South Saint Paul High School in 1947. After high school, Carl served in the Navy for four life changing years. While serving in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Carl was introduced to Antonio George Pereira. After seeing a picture of Antonio’s sister, Carl was determined to meet her. He met the love of his life, former Vera Maria Pereira, and they were later married on October 4, 1953. After leaving the Navy in June of 1955, he worked for Swifts until 1968. He then became interested in the restaurant business and owned his own for 17 years. He later became a security guard where he enjoyed working until two weeks prior to his passing. Carl loved to bowl and was an excellent bowler. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening, and feeding birds. Carl was an extremely hard worker and loved his family more than anything.

Carl is survived by his wife, Vera Maria Harp (Pereira), his four children, Deborah Ann Jacinta Carow and her husband Jeffrey of River Falls, WI, Carl Michael Harp and his wife Theresa of Baltimore, MD, Robert Antonio Harp of Pasadena, MD, and Gabriella Louise Harp of Hales Corners, WI, his ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nelle, and his sister Jean Merrill.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 16 at Saint Agnes Parish, 5422 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21229, Father Michael Foppiano will be officiating. Burial will follow at Baltimore National Cemetery at 12:00 P.M.
