Carmelita T. Lesser

On August 22, 2017, Carmelita Lesser, beloved wife of Eugene Lesser, devoted mother of Robert Lesser, and cherished grandmother of Rebecca Lesser passed away.  Lita was born on Staten Island, NY, raised in Utica and Astoria, NY, but lived most of her life in Bellerose NY, where she raised her family and attended St Gregory the Great Catholic Church.  She worked for the Department of Education along with Gene, making the drive to Coney Island for almost 20 years before retiring.  She loved to cook, read and sing along to classics from the 40’s and 50’s.  She was able to enjoy retirement as a snow bird in West Palm Beach, soaking up the sun and taking in weekly shows. Her claim to fame was her ability to drive (like a bat out of hell) back and forth to FL in a single drive well until she was over 80 until we were able to settle her down in Laurel MD.
