Debra Ann “Nanny” Gaither (nee Hoerl) beloved wife of Ronald Thomas Gaither passed into eternal life on July 18, 2017.

Daughter of the late Marshall Paul and Ella Nora Hoerl of Catonsville and granddaughter of the late Ella B. Wheatley and Grace Helen Hoerl.

Beloved mother of Frederick Vincent Roussey Jr., Angel Marie Roussey and stepmother to Wayne and Gregory Gaither. Beloved grandmother of 11, Dominic, Alexis, Alyssa and Angelo Roussey, Nicholas, Antonio, Carlos, Sergio, Alejandro, (twins) Fernando and Briana Aguirre. Beloved great grandmother to Aylla and Adriana Aguirre. She is also survived by sisters Marsha (Pete), Sharon, and Marisol; brothers Michael, Marshall, Steve, Jeffrey, Bobby. Sister of the late Richard Paul and Linda Diane Hoerl.

She was born, raised and remained a lifelong resident of Catonsville. She worked as a CNA in nursing homes for many years. She continued to provide health care assistance to family members and friends over the years.

She herself was a 19 year breast cancer survivor who participated in the Relay for Life events and looked forward to the “Survivor’s Walk” to help raise fund for cancer research.

She devoted her life to taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. They all knew that any time of day or night she was there to take care and provide for them whether it was I need a ride home, I’m sick, I’m hungry or just to have fun and spoil them. She did cater to her family.

She enjoyed sitting on the beach and was planning a trip to Ocean City next month but her favorite pastime was “BINGO”! She was a regular at the Arbutus Firehall where she not only enjoyed playing bingo but had made many friends with whom to socialize.

She made friends everywhere she went, helped neighbors and did not know the word “NO”. If you knew Debbie you knew you could call her any time of the day or night even the wee hours of the morning and she would be there. She always put others first, was kind and unselfish. She will be greatly missed by all.

Rest In Peace.  Until we see you again.
