Dennis Dale Philip, age 69, of Baltimore, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Columbia, MD.
Dennis was born on August 30, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, was the son of late John W. Philip and stepson of late Eugenia I. Philip. He was the husband of the late Blanche Wiliski. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, John R. Philip and Raymond C. Philip, and a close friend, Michelle Tarbet.
Dennis is survived by 2 stepchildren, Naomi Wiliski and John Wiliski. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Jethro Hooper, Donna Tolle, Katheryne Hooper, Gwendolyn Shipley, Martin Philip, Andrew Philip, Gerald Philip and a very close friend, John Tarbet, and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis graduated from Catonsville High School in 1965. After graduation he worked for various establishments in the kitchen until working full time for Social Security Administration in Woodlawn.
In his younger life, Dennis was active in church groups and on bowling leagues with friends and family. Dennis enjoyed playing his accordion, visiting nursing homes and entertaining the residents.
