On January 23, 1936, Edward Anthony Joseph Hall was born in Baltimore and grew up in South Baltimore. He attended grade school at St. Mary Star of the Sea where he and his family also attended church. His beloved Mom Mom inspired his deep faith in God. Ed went on to attend high school at Mount Saint Joseph High School and graduated in 1954. He then attended Loyola College and graduated with his B.S Degree. During this time, Ed met Jean Ann McColgan and they married two years later on June 13, 1959, moving out to Catonsville, MD. Ed got his first teaching position at the newly opened Archbishop Curley High School where he taught Science for one year. He then went on to teach Science at Mount Saint Joseph High School. Ed was also the Coach of the MSJ Rifle team that went on to win the MSA Championship in 1966. During this same time, Ed obtained his Master’s Degree from Loyola College. In 1967, he went on to teach Science at Catonsville Jr. High School before becoming the Science Department Chairman at Deer Park Jr. High School in Randallstown. In 1977 he earned his PHD in Science Education at the University Of Maryland College Park and became Dr. Edward A.J. Hall. Ed went on to teach Science at Catonsville Senior High further developing a Para Med class among many others. He remained there for many years before eventually retiring. Ed is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Ann Hall, their six children, Kathleen Lapchak and her spouse Gary, Stephen Hall, Jeannine Mazziott, Donna Denhardt and her husband John, Mary Teresa Bonnet and her spouse Robert and Anthony Hall and his spouse Monica. Twelve Grand Children and two Great Grand Children. Ed was also an artist who enjoyed painting murals, photography, writing and video photography where he captured just about every important happening in his family’s history. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grand Father and Great Grand Father who loved his family and happily gave his time to everyone. Ed loved music as well and spent countless hours listening with his Grandson David. He loved old movies too and would always watch them with the family. He always went the extra mile in attending events such as the Special Olympics with his Grandson and dances with his Grand Daughter. Ed attended numerous baseball games, basketball games, scouting events etc in support of his family. He went on numerous trips with his family. Within the past year, Ed served as the God Father of his Grandson Sebastian. Ed’s favorite movie was “It’s a Wonderful Life” and a Wonderful Full Llife he had. Watching the family grow was probably his favorite part of life. Adoring the new babies that entered the family. Devotion to Faith and his Family were the hallmarks in his life.
