Edward Albert Bubnis, Sr. Profile Photo

Edward A. Bubnis passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on October 21, 2017. Ed was born and raised in Baltimore, the son of Lithuanian immigrants Vincent and Ursula (Nellie). He had a brother William who passed in 1985 and a sister Mildred who lives in Richmond, Virginia. Ed served two years in the Army during the Korean War and returned to start his career with Southern States in South Baltimore. It was at Southern States where Ed met Irene, his wife of 57 years. Ed eventually became the general manager of the Indiana Grain export elevator in Locust Point, a position he held until his retirement in 1996. Ed was an avid story teller, always ready to regale you with a story from his work days or his times in the Army. Ed is survived by his wife Irene, and his two sons Edward Jr (wife Megan) and William (wife Diane). And especially dear to his heart, he is survived by his three grandchildren Sydney, Andrew, and Matthew. He was their Pop-Pop and they were his passion during his retirement years. Everyone who knew Ed said he was one of the nicest people they ever met. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
