Elaine Marie (Kidd) Fry

Elaine Marie (Kidd) Fry passed away at her home in Catonsville, Maryland on February 2. 2021, she was 78. Elaine was born on November 6, 1942, in Washington, DC to the late Joseph Wilkinson Kidd and the late Alice Irene Spicer. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Stefanie Camille (Fry) Knab.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Matthew Jeffrey Knab, Erica Nicole Knab, Breanna Noelle Knab, and Olivia Brooke Knab and son-in-law, Jeffrey Knab. As well as eight nieces and nephews, Deborah Winslow, Cheryl Edmonds, Juanita Kohn, Kristina Potts, Richard Baron, Sandi Radcliffe, Cindy Dreszer, and Kim Philibert, and many other cherished family and friends.
Elaine graduated from Regina High School in 1960, Prince George’s County Community College in 1978, and University of Maryland College Park in 1985. She worked in Communications at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Her interests included classic Hollywood films, British literature (Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen were two of her favorites) shopping (malls, dollar stores, and Target were some of her top destinations), and most important of all, family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
