The daughter of David and Stella Riyeff, and twin sister of Paul Riyeff, Eleanor was married to John F. Eleanor Reidy was a long-time resident of Bayside, New York and was employed by Bayside Federal Savings and Loan as a mortgage officer.  She retired after 25 years of service as Asst. Secretary of the bank.  She was a devoted Catholic and a member of the American Martyrs parish in Queens New York.

Eleanor, known as Nana to her friends and famiily was a sweet and joyful woman.  She was resilient in the face of tragedies and determined to craft a rich life for herself and her daughter.  Among her many accomplishments are completing her education in Banking, ten years as a Girl Scout Leader, joining and eventually becoming President of the Women's Association of Savings and Loan Institutes (WASALI), serving as an Eucharistic Minister for her parish and joining the Dominican Sisters as a Affiliate Member.  She was a stamp collector, read widely, loved art and theater and the NY Mets.  She was a chocolate cake and cookie connoisseur.  She had the best smile and biggest heart.

She left us her wicked senses of humor and at 92, still had the best legs in the family.  She will be missed.
