Elizabeth Louise (Skevington) Thompson

Betty Thompson, a long-time resident of Trumbull, Connecticut, died on December 1, 2020 at the age of 94.  She was born Elizabeth Louise Skevington in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 25, 1926 to the late William and Hilda Davis Skevington.  She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne and St. Joseph School of Nursing.  She was a Registered Nurse.
In 1948, she married Kenneth E. Thompson, Jr.  They were married for 51 years, until Mr. Thompson died in 2000.  She had three sons, William (1950-2020), Kenneth and Eric (1958-2021); five grandsons and four great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Sherwood.
She was a parishioner of St. Teresa’s Church in Trumbull for 36 years.  She retired to the Charlestown Community in Catonsville, Maryland in 2006.  She was buried next to her husband in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, Connecticut.
The family will announce a public memorial service at a future date, due to the pandemic.
