Catonsville Maryland-Emmett Monte Buff, age 80, died Tuesday November 29th 2016 at the Season Hospice Center in Randallstown Maryland after a sudden diagnosis with Leukemia. He was born March 20th 1936.
He leaves behind his loving partner, Mary Regina Grochmal; his son, Michael Patrick Buff; his daughter Debra Buff Sessions; son-in-law Thomas Gregory Sessions; his grandson Thomas Tyler Sessions; and granddaughter Sydney Michelle Sessions. He also leaves behind numerous loving nieces and a nephew.
Emmett was born and raised in Washington DC and resided during childhood in Mt. Rainer, Maryland. He was the son of Albert and Ethel (Cade) Buff. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lois Reva Buff and sisters Ruby Buff James and Amy Buff Hoffman.
Emmett started work in February 1965 at Ottenburg’s Bakery in Washington DC. He retired after 32 years in January 1997. He was treasure for his local Teamsters Chapter for several years and strongly believed in Union representation.
Emmett loved the Washington Redskins, relaxing at the ocean, fine dining, and read books profusely. He was most proud of his 2 grandchildren. He had a strong belief in the Catholic Church and was involved in his local parish.
A celebratory mass will be held on December 17th at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Victory Church. Address is 4414 Wilkins Ave Baltimore, MD 21229. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Seasons Hospice Center in Randallstown, Maryland.
