Ethel Elizabeth Mott Edgar

Ethel “Betty” Elizabeth Mott Edgar was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 5, 1926. She passed peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Cleveland Mott and Rachel Edna Mott; siblings, Charles Mott, Grover Mott, Jr., Robert Mott, Harold Mott, Donald Mott, Roberta Mott Thomas, Dorothy Mott Bullen and John Mott and grandson, John Douglas Edgar.

Betty is survived by her loving son, John Thomas Edgar (Tamera), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Mark Erin Edgar (Allison), Katie Edgar Sand (Michael), Joshua Taylor Edgar (Ashley) and great-grandchildren, Kaige Edgar, Kamden Edgar, John Edgar and Brian Edgar. Her loss will be felt by many other caring family and friends.

Family and friends may gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Mark’s Chapel, 30 Melvin Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 with burial immediately following at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21229.
