Floridene C. Zamorano

Floridene Cordova Zamorano, 88, unexpectedly passed away on July 22, 2023, in Baltimore, MD. She was born on November 1, 1934, in Chile, the daughter of Guillermo H. Cordova and Berta E. Martinez Cordova. She moved to the United States to find work opportunities and settled in Washington, DC. She married Jose Fernando Zamorano, who passed away on the same date three years earlier. They moved to Baltimore after the birth of their second child and celebrated 55 years of marriage.

They both became American citizens, and she was very proud of this accomplishment.

Floridene leaves behind her loving children, Bertha Lutters, with her late husband, Gary of Delta, PA, and Joseph Zamorano with his wife, MaryLou of San Diego, CA. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Lutters and Danielle Zamorano.

Floridene was a fantastic mother and homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her children. She was a devout Catholic who sacrificed endlessly to care for her family. She loved to read and educate herself about different subjects. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and was very outgoing. She will be missed very much by her family and friends. She can now realize her wish of being with her husband in heaven.

The memorial service for Floridene will be on August 5th at 10:00 am at their home parish in Halethorpe, MD, the Catholic Community of Ascension and St. Augustine. The address of the church is 1527 Potomac Avenue, Halethorpe, MD 21227.
