Frank Sands passed on April 5, 2017 where he joined his late wife Agnes Sands. He was 92.

Frank was born in Leonia, New Jersey and as a child, grew up in New Orleans. His family came to Maryland in 1934 and spent his teenage and adult life living in Catonsville. He attended Mount St Josephs High School and Loyola College where he graduated in 2 years with a degree in Accounting.

After college he went into the Navy and served as a communications officer, spending the majority of his time in Cebu City, Philippines. After the war, he married the love of his life, Agnes Linthicum, and they had 3 children – Gail, Robert, and Carol. Agnes passed in 1997 and Frank was lucky to find someone to love again and bring him joy years later, Dolores DeVilbiss. Dolores was widowed as well and the two of them brought each other years of happiness. Dolores passed January 20, 2016.

Frank was given 6 grandchildren – Amanda, Brett, Nick, Erik, Ryan, and Hanna. He loved his grandkids – playing with them, making them laugh, watching them grow up. He was then blessed with 6 great grandchildren – Sophie, Rylie, Alex, Blake, Julia, and Elijah.

Frank was a loving, kind, funny, carefree man who brought joy to so many people. He lived a long and full life and will be missed by many. Please join us to celebrate the life of this amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, uncle, and husband.
