Frank Anthony Eff, Jr.

Frank A Eff, Jr., born October 22, 1935, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2016, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, Maryland. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Frank A. Eff, Sr. and Marie Eff (nee Meehling.)  Frank was the beloved husband of the late Margaret “Pege” Eff (nee Carter), devoted father of the late Michael Stoner (Judy), Frank Edward Eff and his wife Irene, the late Paul Anthony Eff (Lynne), and John Gregory Eff and his wife Dianne.  Loving grandfather of Karlie, Ryan, Chelsie, Garrett, Quinn and Emily Stoner, Mary, Roseann, and Patrick Eff, Julie Freedland, Madalyn Eff, and Olivia and Nicholas Eff.  He is survived by his siblings Marie Klingelhoffer, Joseph and Rose Eff, Gloria and Ed Anderson, and Michael John Eff, and predeceased by his sister, Margaret Horn.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and his best friend and neighbor Beth Hoker who shared his passion for dogs.

Mr. Eff owned and operated Certified Roofing Company, which served the greater Baltimore area.  After retirement a few years ago, he had more time to devote to his beloved animals, including his dog Koda.   He had a passion for animals all his life.  His roofing business was successful in many areas of the city and he knew Baltimore City like the back of his hand.  He enjoyed traveling internationally with his son Frank and his wife Irene, and he enjoyed reading the Wall Street Journal. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland, on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA.
