Hedelina Valle (Valle) Raqueño

October 2, 1937 — June 2, 2024

Hedelina passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024 at the age of 86.

She was born and raised in Manila in Luzon, Philippine Islands.

She was the eldest of 7 children born to Pio Valle and Crescencia Gorospe Valle. She studied at the National University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  She then taught science at Lakan Dula High School in Tondo, Manila.

She emigrated to the United States with her three children in August 1973.

She is a devoted Roman Catholic frequently attending mass and going on several religious pilgrimages.  She loved shopping for all her family and friends and dining with them at every chance. She also enjoyed traveling around the world with Teofilo, her beloved husband of 59 years. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at the beach, the lake, and their home and watching them grow into wonderful individuals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Teofilo, her father, Pio, mother, Crescencia, younger brother, Pedro, and her sisters-in-law, Lita Valle, and Maureen Valle.

She is survived by her sisters, Nieva Concepcion, Vella Kawakami, and brothers Pio Valle, Jr., Cesar Valle, and Romeo Valle, her in-laws, Rudy Concepcion, Fumikazu Kawakami, Ursula Valle, Olivia Valle, and her children Rolando, Judith, and Teofilo, Jr.,  daughters-in-law Nina (née Gibson) and Janice (née Spiciarich), grandchildren Marinna, Gianna, Simon, and Adam.
