Jane K. Marshall of Catonsville Maryland passed away peacefully this past Thursday following a stroke. She will be so missed by her friends and family alike, as well as the maintenance teams at her apartment complex whom she kept very very busy. :-)
Jane was born in December of 1941 in Camden NJ and grew up both in Haddonfield as well as Berlin as her father, Edwin Krauss, was working for the Army Corp of Engineers. Her Mother was Janet Filley Krauss, from Troy New York.
She attended college and was married to Thomas Marshall in her twenties, having one son, Chip. She relocated to Catonsville in 1971 and became active in the community first as a parent, a den mother, and eventually starting a career with Harry M Stevens and eventually retiring as an administrative assistant to several board members at Erickson retirement living (Charlestown).
Jane spent several years with family and Friends in Naples Florida before returning home to Catonsville three years ago where she resided at a local apartment complex, living her final years on her own terms ... independently, and always deep in the love of her family.
She loved knitting, reading, crosswords, directing neighborhood traffic, chatting, and most of all bragging on her grandchildren. She would likely suggest that in her memory you consider happy thoughts along with a Pepsi, some ham, Swiss cheese, and lightly toasted King bread (only king slices will do), likely followed with a nice glass of wine.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Leah, Lindsey and Julia, as well as her son Chip and daughter in law, Chris, and of course the ever spoiled and very loved, “Molly“.
