Janet Carol (Leitch) Churchill

Janet Carol Churchill was born on July 25, 1937 and passed away peacefully in Catonsville, MD surrounded by family on November 9, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born in Harrisburg, PA to William and Doris Leitch.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, William Kiraly, and is survived and will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, William Bates Churchill, and her beloved sister, Joan Murray, as well as her loving children, Karen McLaughlin (Thomas), Brian Kiraly (Lauren) and step children, Laura Churchill, Angela Churchill (Zino), Karen Churchill (Dayna) and Betty Blake Churchill. She also has adoring grandchildren, Shaun (Rachel), Todd, Emily (Josh), Conner, Olive, Henry, Alexander, step granddaughter, Aisha, and 6 cherished great grandchildren. Her loss will be felt by many other caring family and friends.

Janet lived in several states and the UK, but her heart was definitely on the beaches of the East Coast. Janet loved travel, socializing with friends and family, and service through the Episcopal Church where she was a frequent Altar Guild member and choir participant.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Charlestown who provided comfort and care to Janet throughout her illness.

A funeral service will be held for Janet on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Angels, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Maryland 21228.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a charity of your choosing.
