Jean W. (Wallace) Plitt

It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Plitt announce her passing. Jean died Friday March 8 at Summit Park Health and Rehabilitation in Catonsville. Jean was born in Baltimore, April 4, 1931. She grew up on Poplar Grove Street, went to St. Cecilia Elementary School and is a graduate of Seton High School. Preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 54 years, Edgar Plitt. Jean loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of Rolling Road Country Club and enjoyed many years of golf and swimming. Jean loved dancing and was an accomplished ballroom dancer and attended many senior center dances. Jean was an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church. She attended daily mass and was a Eucharistic Minister.

Jean is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lynn Tawney Street and James Street of Catonsville and Deborah Tawney Diehl and Russell Diehl of Washington Crossing, PA, also nephew William Plitt and nieces Harriett Hill and Darla Hilton.

Gathering Friday, March 15th, in the Chapel at Church of the Resurrection, 10 - 10:30 am. Mass of christian burial to follow immediately after gathering. Interment Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Family requests NO FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a memorial donation in memory of Jean to the Alzheimer Association Greater Maryland Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
