Jeannie M. Menard

Jeannie Marie Menard, age 60, died peacefully at Gilchrist Hospice Care in the presence of her husband after a lengthy battle with cancer.  She was born in New Orleans, LA.  She was the daughter of Raymond and Lareah Denoux.  She grew up in New Orleans, LA, Atlanta, GA and Pittsburgh, PA.  She is survived her brothers Dan Denoux and Andre Denoux.  She is also survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael Menard; her 3 children, Mary Parker-Bey, Sean Menard, and Mikaila Menard; and her 2 grandchildren Tiana Parker-Bey and Aja Parker-Bey.  Jeannie received her Bachelor of Science from Franciscan University of Stuebenville in Education.  She taught second grade at Lamb of God School in Halethorpe, MD for 5 years before becoming a foster parent to 11 children over the course of the next 12 years.  She had a life long love of camping and enjoyed the family weekend trips to Rambling Pines and other local state parks.  She was very involved in several church groups and loved spending time with family and friends.  The viewing will be held at Candlelight Funeral Home (1835 Frederick Rd Catonsville, MD 21228) on Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (4795 Ilchester Rd Ellicott City, MD 21043) on Thursday June 8th, 2017 at 10:00 am with the burial to follow at St John's Cemetery (3480 Saint John's Ln Ellicott city, MD 21042).  If anyone would like to make a donation, the family requests Give Kids the World. http://www.gktw.org/
