Jerry Michael Arnold

Jerry Michael Arnold, son of the late Hunter Arnold and June Wedeking, passed away on September 16th, 2024.

Jerry's passion for sports and teaching was evident in all areas of his life. Jerry worked in sales for many years before he transitioned to teaching physical education at local private schools, then took a role in his dream job for the Sports Legends Museum. Jerry graduated from Catonsville High School and attended CCBC.

He married the love of his life four years after high school and lived in Catonsville until recently, when he moved to the Eastern Shore. Jerry loved coaching sports, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan, his daughter Casey Caudill and son-in-law Sam, son Bradley and daughter-in-law Ali, as well as his grandchildren whom he adored and filled his life with joy, Hunter, Colton, Lillian, Brooks, and Thomas. Jerry was a lifelong fan of all Maryland sports teams.

To honor his memory and love of the game, family will receive guests in their favorite sports attire on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd. Catonsville, MD 21228. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at the St. Mark’s Chapel, 30 Melvin Ave. Catonsville, MD 21228 with a burial immediately following at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mt. View Rd. Marriottsville, MD 21104.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Baltimore County Recreation and Parks for kids .
