Jing Zhou

Jing Zhou, beloved daughter of Xin Li and Jian An Zhou, beloved step-daughter of Chan Wang, passed away peacefully at home in Catonsville, Maryland on February 22nd, 2017.  Jing was born in Beijing on November 9th, 1978 and came to rejoin with her father Jian in the US in 1994. She graduated from Catonsville High School, earned a BS and MA in mathematical statistics from University of Maryland. She had an internship at the U.S.  Equal Employment Opportunity Commission when she studied for her MA degree.  Jing began her career as a mathematical statistician at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) upon completion of her MA degree in 2006. Her job at BLS involved handling sampling frames for the US Consumer Price Index Program. Jing loved and enjoyed her work. While working full-time, Jing continued taking statistical courses at University of Maryland towords a Ph.D. degree.  Jing, as your father, as well as every other member of your family, I am very proud of you for what you have achieved in your short life! It is a miracle that you accomplished all of this while struggling with a brain disorder that you suffered from. We love you deeply and will miss you forever!
