Joan W. (Wentworth) Snouffer

Joan W. Snouffer, 91, of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away on November 6, 2018 of natural causes.

The service will be held at the Candle Light Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00pm Friday November 16, 2018. Reverend Gerald Rickel of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church will be officiating.

Joan was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 6, 1926.

Joan was married to Joseph Bernard Snouffer Jr. on April 28, 1948; they were married for 61 years.

Joan worked in accounting for 7Up in Catonsville for over 20 years. She was an equestrian and enjoyed bowling in her younger years and later developed a green thumb, becoming an avid gardener and bird watcher. She also taught Sunday school at Second English Lutheran Church, where she and husband Joseph attended service for over 50 years. Most of all Joan loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a kind and loving generous soul.

Joan W. Snouffer is survived by her children, Joseph B. Snouffer III and spouse Beth Snouffer and Cynthia Lewis. Grandchildren, Jackie Rock and spouse Matt; Diana Beach McCullough, spouse of the late Michael Lewis; Rosa Snouffer-Shad and spouse Zain Shad; Joseph B. Snouffer IV (Jake); Great Grandchildren, Michael Lewis, Lena Lewis and Kaylin Rock.

Joan is preceded in death by husband Joseph B. Snouffer Jr, grandson Michael Lewis and son-in-law Frank Lewis. Brothers Bill and Bud Wentworth, Sister Donna Rowland and parents Marion and Harry Wentworth.
