On February 4, 2024, John Joseph Migliore, 84, passed away with family by his bedside. He was the son of the late Harry Migliore & Frances Migliore (nee Russo). John was the loving husband to Linda Migliore (nee Bierman) & devoted father to John Joseph Migliore, Jr., & Kimberly Anne Cressotti (nee Migliore) and her husband Tony. He was the cherished grandfather to Angela English & Anthony Michael Cressotti, and Maria Linn & John Joseph Migliore, III.

First Lieutenant John J Migliore served as a platoon leader in the Military Police Corps, Company A, 503D MP Battalion. Due to his leadership during the Oxford, Mississippi (Operation Rapid Roads) and the Birmingham, Alabama crises, he received two Certificates of Achievement for his outstanding service. Lieutenant Migliore's initiative, judgement, and disregard for personal safety contributed immeasurably to the successful suppression of mob violence and reestablishment of law and order.

John's Government service included NSA, FDA and NIH where he retired as the Director of the Division of Management Policy. He went to college at John Hopkins University where he played football and acquired his Masters Degree from George Washington University. His interests were boating, fishing, hiking, racquetball and golf.

John is predeceased by his brother Anthony Thomas Migliore and his sister Rosalie M Berberich.

A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 10431 Twin Rivers Road Columbia, MD 21044. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the mass from 11:00am-2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Parkinson's Foundation .
