John Price Thomas

John "Price" Thomas passed away peacefully on June 13, 2018. Price was born November 27, 1919. He was the son of  Dr.  John Dorsey Thomas Sr., and Claudia McQueen Thomas. Price was preceded in death by his wife Lou and by his identical twin, Dr. John Dorsey Price Jr. He is survived by two daughters- Patricia (Don) Lee of Elkridge, MD. and Karen (Joe) Pape of Crystal River, FL., one sister, Carolyn (Buddy) Platt of North Myrtle Beach, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Price retired from the Army after nine years and taught high school for many years in Florence County, South Carolina. Price is known for many volunteer positions including his beloved church, the Coast Guard Auxillary, and The Gideons International, where he had given away thousands of testaments (PWT'S) over the years. He made many friends and enjoyed many adventures with these organizations.

Recently, Price told his family that he was at peace and ready to move on with Jesus.
