Jose Fernando Zamorano, 82, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2020 at his home in Halethorpe, MD with his wife by his side. He was born on September 10, 1937 in Chile, the son of Jose Miguel Zamorano and Aida Salas. He loved his homeland but followed his sweetheart, Floridene Cordova, to the United States. They were married and settled in Washington, DC. They moved to Baltimore after the birth of their second child and celebrated 60 years of marriage. They both became American citizens and he was very proud of this accomplishment.
Jose leaves his loving children, Bertha Lutters, with her late husband, Gary of Delta, PA, and Joseph Zamorano with his wife, MaryLou of San Diego, CA. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Lutters and Danielle Zamorano.
Jose was a steel fabricator and welder. He took pride going to work every morning and getting the job done right. He was a devout Catholic and hard-working husband and father, who sacrificed endlessly to care for his family. He was a great dancer with an endless sense of humor who loved to make people laugh. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, was a volunteer at the Arbutus Senior Center and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. He will be missed very much by his family and friends – heaven got a good one!!
Arrangements are being made for his funeral and more information will follow. Condolences may be sent to 25 Piedmont Court, Baltimore, MD 21227.
