Joseph Stanley Legath

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Stanley LeGath, a beloved husband, father and friend. Joseph was born on January 1, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and passed peacefully on November 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Julia LeGath.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife, Judith Bechtel LeGath, his loving children, Julia LeGath, Molly McElwee (Charles), Sara Speltz (Jesse) and his stepsons, Michael Piasecki and Daniel Piasecki as well as many other cherished family and friends.

Family and friends may gather at St. Mark Chapel, 30 Melvin Ave. Catonsville, MD 21228, for a visitation on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 11:00 am. Private burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St. Mark Catholic Church .
