Joseph Michael Lundin was born in Baltimore, MD on February 11, 1941 and was the only child of Joseph Edwin Lundin and Theresa Lundin (Dembeck / later remarried to Price Wingate). He grew up in and around Highlandtown, MD and graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School and Patterson High School in Baltimore. He earned a diploma in architecture and drafting from The Maryland Institute. He married Doris Ann Slifker on June 22, 1968 (later divorced).
Joe is survived by his three loving children, Mark David Lundin, Barbara Ann Makowiecki (Lundin) and David Michael Lundin. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Tyler Joseph and Katelyn Grace, children of Barbara and David Makowiecki, and Peter Thomas child of David and Diane Lundin (Beddia).
Joe proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. His first civilian jobs at home were as a lab technician. He worked in the construction field for much of his life as an estimator and project manager, most recently with Chesapeake Contracting Group before retiring.
He lived much of his adult life on North Janney Street in Orangeville, MD where he raised his three children with Doris. He eventually settled in Catonsville, MD.
Joe was an avid fisherman throughout his life, and was often joined by his cousin Norman Bayer. He enjoyed live music and attended numerous concerts with his family at Archbishop Curley High School (where both his sons and son-in-law attended), Boordy Vineyards and Lurman Woodland Theatre. Over the last several years, Joe could be found at Lurman concerts most Saturday and Sunday evenings during the summer. Joe also enjoyed going for walks and took many with his loving companion Gunta "Eve" Eglitis at All Saints Sisters Priory in Catonsville.
