Joseph Philip Wieland

Joseph Philip Wieland of Catonsville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. He was born on August 24, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland and was a graduate of Calvert Hall College and The University of Baltimore.
He worked in the federal government for the National Security Agency and retired in 1998 after 30+ years of dedicated service. He also served in the United States National Guard and retired from there after 20+ years of service.
The things that enriched his life were his faith, his family, Christmas music, trains and due to being a CPA, he enjoyed being everyone’s tax guy.
He is survived by his wife Maureen (nee King). Loving father to Janet, Charles and David Wieland. Devoted Pop-Pop to Zachary and Victoria Wieland.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00pm on Monday, June 6 at the Candle Light Funeral Home located at 1835 Fredrick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 7 in the chapel of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, located at 26 Melvin Avenue in Catonsville, MD 21228.
