Joyce Ann (Barry) Mathias

Joyce A Mathias, 83, of Ellicott City, MD, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2016, at Saint Joseph's Nursing Home in Catonsville, MD. Joyce was the 11th child born to the late Florence Ferguson (ne Barry) and Joseph Barry on September 25, 1932 in Paulsboro, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Donald Mathias, and by her son, Thomas Mathias. Joyce is survived by 5 children, Donna Hoffmann, Michael Mathias, Richard Mathias, Joseph Mathias and Mary Wagner; 2 sisters, Shirley Netzer and Doris Soirez; and 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 13th at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD, 21228, from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Joseph's Nursing Home Chapel on September 14th at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilchrest Hospice or Saint Joseph's Nursing Home.
