Judy Anabella (Greaves) Tazanu

Judy Anabella Tazanu, a beloved mother, faithful wife, registered nurse, and cherished sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on April 22, 1943, in Trinidad and Tobago, to the late Clifford and Edith Greaves (Nee Paris). Judy later made her home in Washington, D.C. and lived her final years in Laurel, Maryland.

Judy dedicated her life to caring for others as a dedicated registered nurse within the healthcare industry. Her nurturing and compassionate nature touched the lives of countless patients throughout her career.

She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Tazanu, Ngulefac Tazanu, Atemlafac Tazanu, and Nkongchu (Thomas)Tazanu, as well as her devoted daughters, Abila Tazanu and Ambo Tazanu. Judy's presence will be deeply missed by her children, who will forever cherish the memories they shared.

Family and friends may gather to pay their respects and honor Judy's life during the visitation, which will take place at Encounter Life Church, 2200 Culbera Dr. Hillcrest Heights, MD 20748, on August 31, 2023, (her late husband Thomas Tazanu’s birthday) beginning at 10:30 am. The funeral service to celebrate Judy's life will commence at 11:30 am at the same location. Burial in Trinidad will take place at a later date.

Judy Anabella Tazanu will be remembered as a remarkable woman who brought light and love wherever she went. Her fearless spirit, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to her family and profession will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
