On Thursday, February 6, 2025 Lee Lally Smink (nee: Keatts) passed away in Catonsville, Maryland. Born to James W. Keatts and Eleanor Townshend Keatts on Thursday, March 5, 1931; she was 93. She was affectionately known as “Bootsie” by her friends and family.

She married James Lally in 1949. They settled in Arbutus, and had three daughters together. She worked as the secretary for Wynnewood Recreation Center for many years. She later married Jesse Smink, and they were together until his death in 2009. They enjoyed spending time in their second home in Ocean City, Md., and hosting their annual Christmas party with family and friends.

Lee worked for Maryland Housing and Chesapeake Realty as an administrative assistant until she retired. She enjoyed playing cards, games, and entertaining. She loved hosting Sunday dinners when her grandchildren were young, and she collected blue and white china.

Lee is survived by her daughters, Nancy Daniels, Barbara Ford, and Lynn Goucher (Greg); her grandchildren, Ashley Schall (Mike), Stephanie Ford, Katherine Shaw (Ben), Michael Ford, Rachael
Goucher, and Claire Goucher; and her great-grandchildren, Savannah Shaw, Gus Schall, and Wilson Schall. She also leaves behind her siblings, Elizabeth Keatts and William Keatts, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Lee is preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Fowler and James W. Keatts.

Family and friends may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00am, with interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
