Linelle Labonte

On November 24, 2016, Linelle Labonte, 79, Professor Emeritae of the University of Notre Dame of MD and longtime resident of Baltimore, MD, peacefully passed away. Originally from Wisconsin, Linelle came to Baltimore in 1970 on a Faculty Teaching Scholarship at the Maryland Institute of Art. While teaching there, she also completed her masters, receiving the first MFA in photography at MICA. Linelle began teaching at Notre Dame in 1971 and taught there until her retirement in 2002. She devoted her life to Art, to teaching and to service and touched many, many lives. Linelle was preceded in death by her parents, Russell J. LaBonte and Pauline (nee Volz) LaBonte and her brother James Labonte. She is survived by her brother George LaBonte and his wife Frances of Clearwater, FL, her sister in law Suzanne LaBonte, her nieces, nephews and cousins in WI and MI and her many dear friends. A brief gathering will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at Our Lady of Angels Chapel, 701 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228
