Louis Christopher Gambino

Louis Christopher Gambino of Catonsville, MD, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Gilchrist Center of Towson.

Louis C. Gambino was born on August 10, 1933 to Italian immigrant parents Stephano and Anna Gambino. Louis was raised in West Baltimore.  As a young man, Louis served his country in the US Navy. Louis toured in the Korean War and became an Electrician on a naval destroyer ship.

Louis, known as Lou, was happily married to the love of his life, Agnes (Catrona), and they were married for 68 years. Together, they built an amazing life sharing memories with family and friends throughout Catonsville and the Baltimore Metropolitan areas.

Lou was an avid golfer, football enthusiast and had a profound love of both horses and horse racing. He was an active member of the Catonsville Exchange Club, the Electrical Contractors Association, and Turf Valley Resort.

Louis is survived by three loving children. Louis (Lisa), Regina (Jeff), Joseph, and his six grandchildren, Jessica (Matt), Bridget (Dan), Christine (Tim), Stephanie, Sophia, and Juliana.  He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Patrick, Olivia, Graham, Siena, Gianna, Julian, and Adrian.

Lou was truly defined as a gentleman.  His family values, his work ethic and helpful spirit throughout the community earned him immeasurable respect. For over 50 years, Lou was a commercial electrical contractor. His electrical prowess and attention to perfect detail kept his clients, family and friends well luminated and open for business. He will be missed by our community.

Family and friends may gather for a vistation on Wednesday, March 19 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD 21228. Funeral services and burial will be private.
