Margaret Ellan (Geffert) Scherer

Margaret Ellan Scherer (Geffert), age 77, of Taneytown went to be with Jesus on October 15, 2021. She loved Jesus and found joy in encouraging others in their faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Geffert, and her husband, William Scherer. She is survived by her daughters, Ellan Beard and Krista Scherer, and her granddaughters: Hannah Ford and her husband Logan; Abbigayle Dunkley and her husband Zachary; Janelle Streett; and Emilie Streett. The family will receive friends at 1pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 followed by a memorial service at 2pm. Both will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 929 Ingleside Ave., with Rev. Martin Schultheis and Rev. David McClean (her godson) officiating.
