Marion Louise (Wiley) Wallace, the 86 year old matriarch of our family went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2022.

Marion was born in Fairmount West Virginia on March 11, 1936 to Bertha McNeely and Joseph Wiley. She was blessed with two beautiful children, Joseph Wiley and Cynthia Moody(Elliott) who both preceded her in death.

Marion was known for her compassion and the genuine love she gave to those who had the pleasure of being in her presence.

For many years Marion worked for the Social Security administration office.  Fortunately, her career path led her to the USDA National Agricultural Research Library, where she was a dedicated employee and retired with honorable mention.

She was patient, kind, loved everyone unconditionally, and always saw the good in people. She was a spiritual person, her devotion to the Lord was very inspiring. She even managed to navigate YouTube in order to watch her church service every Sunday.

Several years ago  Marion became a puppy parent to “Marley” who never left her side and she enjoyed every moment of it.

Marion loved to take road trips to travel and see family. She loved making Sunday dinners with her granddaughters, Tonya and Sara.

She was a loyal viewer of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, so you knew not to bother her during those times. She faithfully watched the Chicago series lineup every Wednesday evening.

Marion is survived by her grandchildren Tonya Elliott, Thomas Moody, Bobby Wiley, Joseph Wiley, Terresha Wiley, and her adopted granddaughter Sara Shifflett. Her many great-grandchildren: Anthony Moody, Amorie Moody, Amyracle Moody, Joseph Wiley III, Patiance Wiley,  Jimmy Stevens III, Joci Stevens, Matthew Wiley, Bria Wiley & Donovan Wiley. She had one sister Ruth who along with two of her children, Bertha (Bunny) Wiley & Elizabeth (Libby) Wiley preceded her in death. She is also survived by Ruth’s remaining children Susan Reynoso, Marion Wiley, Ruthie Moon and David Wiley. Marion was a proud grandmother and “Auntie Marion” to a slew of nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Marion's funeral service will be Live-Streamed and can be viewed on Candle Light's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@candlelightfuneralhome9144 .
