Mary Bacon

Mary Elizabeth Bacon of Catonsville, Maryland, passed from here to eternal life on December 30, 2024 at the age of 95. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Bacon, and her son, Robert S. Bacon. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Clutts (John), daughter in-law, Robin Bacon, grandchildren Renee McLain (William), Courtney Clutts (Eric Allen) and Matthew Clutts, great-grandchildren Gabriel and Brodie Allen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in North Carolina and moved to Maryland as an adult, residing in Catonsville for many years. She had a passion for fashion and spent many years working in retail, lastly as a buyer for the May Department Stores, before retiring to stay at home with her children. Mary’s wit and beautiful smile will be remembered by all who knew her. She was happiest when surrounded by her cherished family.

A visitation will be held at the Candle Light Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a funeral service. A private family burial will be held in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Autism Society of Maryland (www.autismsocietymd.org) or to your favorite charity.
