Mary Le Buchness, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.  Born February 6, 1934, to the late Dr. James and Mary Howell, she was the beloved wife of the late Dr. George Franklin Buchness.  Mary Le was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friends to many.  Mary Le is survived by her beloved sons and spouses, George, Jr. “Geb” (Molly) and James Ridgely “Lee” (Jennifer) Buchness as well as dear grandchildren; Daniel (Jennifer), Brett (Dana), Brendan (Megan), Meaghan, Andrew and Matthew Buchness and great-grandchildren; Blair, Loulou and Emerson Buchness.  Mary Le is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 27th at 10:00am at St. Mark Chapel, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD.  Interment will be in Old Trinity Cemetery, Church Creek, Maryland on April 5th at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Roland Park Country School .
