Mary Bateman Weber Mayo was born in Maryland on July 5, 1929. She passed peacefully on December 21, 2024 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Agnes Bateman, and her late husband, Daniel Mayo and son, David Weber (Mary Scott Weber).

Mary was the 4th of 13 children and the 1st daughter. She was a busy girl mimicking her brothers, but was also a good helper in the family. A good student, she quickly learned to play piano and played throughout her life.

Mary married our father, Art Weber in 1949 and was soon the loving mother of 6 adorable children; 3 boys, then 3 girls. She was both a domestic wonder and a Career woman. Her genuine love of people and her attention to detail made Real Estate a perfect Career Choice.

As good fortune would see it Mary married Dan Mayo, the neighbor across the street in 1972! She charmed this special man and they shared 28 years together enjoying one adventure after the other, traveling, skiing, Martha’s Vineyard, and they shared a passion for Bridge! They had a broad circle of friends, including many friends in Dickeyville where Mary lived for 56 years.

In 2012 Mary finally gave up her home on Tucker Lane and moved to Charlestown where she was soon fully engaged. She made new friends, joined bridge groups and just kept busy, going here and there. She loved to drive, anywhere, everywhere, no time of day, was too much trouble for her.

Her Sunny disposition and charming smile contributed to her full, happy and very long life.
Our Family has been especially blessed to have our mother in our lives for so Long. God Bless her.

She is survived by her loving children, Kevin Weber (Begonia Pecharroman), Peter Weber (Eileen Weber), Susan Wiest (Stephen Wiest), Julia Yensho and Elizabeth McPherson, as well as her dear siblings, Joseph Bateman, Thomas Bateman, Agnes Lindquist and Ann Bateman. Mary was a cherished grandmother to Justin Wiest, Mark Wiest, Joe Weber, Julia Weber, Sam Weber, Sarah Webster, Sebastien Arbona, Marin McPherson, and nine adored great grandchildren. Her loss will be felt by many other caring family and friends.
