Mary Gloria Tacka

On June 30th 2017 Mary Gloria Tacka (nee Bongiovani) beloved wife of the late Stanley Alexius Tacka. A devoted mother she is survived by Philip V. Tacka, Sandy Emmons and son-in law Richard, and Paul R. Tacka and daughter in law Cindy.  Also survived by three grandchildren Randy Emmons and his wife Jennifer, Elizabeth Faldowski and her husband Damon John II and Christina Lohmeier and her husband Nicholas. Mary has seven great-grand children, Kyle, Luke, and Drew Emmons, Colby and Benjamin Lohmeier, and Sloane Robbie and Damon John III Faldowski.

Mary graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore and went on to work in the Department of the Navy where she met her husband, Stanley during WWII. She later held positions as an administrative secretary. Her great pleasure was spending time with her friends and family at her shore property in Pasadena, MD. Loved by so many, her kindness and compassionate spirit drew many to her side.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd Catonsville, MD 21228, on Thursday July 6 from 4-7 pm. A mass will be celebrated on Friday July 7, 10 am in the chapel at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 26 Melvin Ave. Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park. A reception at the Olive Grove Restaurant 705 N Hammonds Ferry Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090.
