Matthew Joseph Shanley

On March 1, 2023, Matthew Joseph Shanley passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his ex-wife Brittany Shanley and his daughters Julia Shanley, Oliva Shanley, and Grace Shanley. Also survived by his significant other Andra Shanley and her daughters Julia Held and Kristen Held; he was the beloved son of Joseph Shanley, Sr., and Joanne Shanley (nee Schumm); loving brother of Kathryn Kirby, Joseph Shanley Jr., and Thomas Shanley. He is also survived by many loving relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4795 Ilchester Rd, Ellicott City, MD (21043) on Saturday March 4th from 12;30 pm until 2 pm, at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held. A celebration of Matt's life will be held in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Gymnasium directly following the Mass at 3:30 pm. Interment at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
