Melanie Moore

Melanie was born in Greenville, Mississippi to Bobbie Jean Higgs McNutt Morgan and Elbert “Buddy” Denman McNutt Sr.

She was a 1977 graduate of Pillow Academy and graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). She was an accredited Public Relations Professional. She worked for 25 years with US Army and 10 years with the US Air Force. She earned many awards and decorations before retiring in 2018.

Melanie loved people and animals. Her dog Molly was her best bud! She loved to be creative and to paint. She was an avid photographer and loved to photograph animals the best. She had a gift of catching unique pictures.

Melanie was preceded in death by her mother Bobbie Jean McNutt Morgan and father, Elbert “Buddy” Denman McNutt, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael McNutt and Elbert “Butch” Denman McNutt Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Lardner Moore Jr and two daughters, Mary Katherine Bashaw (James) and Rebecca Moore. She leaves two granddaughters – Guinevere Bashaw and Idella Bashaw. She is also survived by a sister, Wendy McNutt Stewart (Brad Sr). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
