Michael Roger Cardinale

On March 11, 2025, we said goodbye to Michael Roger Cardinale, 62, a man whose life was punctuated by love, laughter, and his own brand of forthrightness. Michael was a fascinating mix of upbeat energy and raw honesty, winning hearts with his genuine nature and keeping people on their toes with his candid wit. He was a man of strong opinions and an even stronger love for those close to him. Michael’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and his love for them was as vast and unwavering as it comes. While a respected expert in his field, it was never about accolades for Michael. It was about meaningful moments with his family. As a devoted single father, Michael's achievements were intertwined into the lives of his children, Michael and Nikita, who continue to live out his passionate legacy.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph (decd. 2015) and Dorothy (decd. 2016) Cardinale, and his first wife, Terry Brown Cardinale (decd. 2008), Michael leaves behind a vibrant family tapestry, woven with his children, Michael (Beth) Cardinale, Nikita (Billy) Cardinale Muller, Thomas (Maggie) Alascia (stepson); siblings, Stephen (Anna) Cardinale, Anthony Cardinale, John Cardinale, Barbara (Michael) Fafaul, and Theresa (Michael, decd. 2013) Liberto; grandchildren, Thomas Michael Cardinale, Austin Joel Cardinale, Teagan Harper Cardinale; ex-wife and soulmate, Rachel Wersten, as well as scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom feel fortunate to have shared in his journey.

A celebration of Michael’s enduring legacy will be held on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, with family and friends gathering from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm with a memorial service taking place at 7 pm at Candlelight Funeral Home in Catonsville, MD. As we come together, let us fill the room with stories of his unfiltered humor and the warmth of his spirit. While Michael may have left this world, the tales of his vibrant life will continue to echo in our hearts forever.
