Michael Edward Menard

On January 18, 2023, Michael Edward Menard (65) suffered a heart failure and passed away.  Mike was born to Anna and Edward Menard on December 18, 1957 in Johnson City, New York.  He played football in high school.  He attended the Franciscan University of Steubenville and nursing school.  He was a Registered Nurse and truly enjoyed taking care of his patients.  He was a gentle strong man that always took on any situation at the hospital to help protect his coworkers and other patients.  He loved spending time involved in the church and spending time with his family including visiting relatives in Connecticut as often as possible.  He especially cherished his recent one on one time with his son.  He was a loving husband of the late Jeannie Menard; devoted father of Sean Menard, Mikaila Menard and Mary Parker-Bey and her wife Jennifer; loving grandfather or as they called him, Paw Paw, of Aja Parker-Bey and Tiana Parker-Bey; dear brother of Matthew Menard, Mark Menard, Martin Menard, Maury Menard, Michele Lee and Mary McGrath.  He is also survived by many other loving relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the family-owned Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd, Catonsivlle, MD 21228 on Thursday, January 26th from 5 pm until 8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 4795 Ilchester Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21043 on Friday, January 27th at 11 am with burial to follow at St John’s Cemetery, 3480 St John’s Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21042.  www.candlelightfuneralhome.com
